A
chance to escape to a magical environment and at the same time take
part in a cultural event, like the Earth Festival, this is what
Oikotopia is offering to those of you who would like to combine
their vacation with volunteer work.
The volutary schedule covers the period for 10-19 July 2011. You can pariticipate for fewer days, and anyway the bulk of the work it during the days of the festival - but in any case there shouldn't be less than five days.
Voluntary work is organized in two 3-hour shifts every day and includes:
a. before the beginning of the festival. Participation in the preparation of the area (setting up kiosks, fencing, exhibitions, electrical appliances e.t.c.) and also promotion of the festival in the nearby cities.
b. During the festival, work at the office (secretariat of the festival and camping, info kiosk, parallel events e.t.c.), support of the press office, production assistants (guidance for the artists, keeping up with schedules), concert support (ticket issuing and contril, wardening), support for the restaurant and bar
c. After the end of the festival restoring the area
The volunteers stay at the camping and you must bring with you tent, sleeping bag e.t.c. We will provide you meals (all the "festival people" , artists and musicians we eat together at out restaurant). Also all volunteers have a 30% discount at the bar (coffes are free all day, and also beers for those who work during the concerts).
We take care that there is a rotation among various jobs, so that you keep your interest. You put your good mood, fresh ideas and hard working in an environment where respect and appreciation is established among everybody. Finally for your participation you will receive the memorabilia of the festival (T-shirts, pins e.t.c.)
